Lithium Carbonate
Our product
Our project is located in the Salar del Rincón, in the Los Andes department of the province of Salta, Argentina. From this salt flat we obtain the raw material – the brine – which is then treated in a complex chemical and technological process developed by Pablo Alurralde that allows for low water and energy consumption. From this process we obtain the final product: battery-grade lithium carbonate with a 99.5% purity.
Lithium carbonate is an essential product for the energy transition towards a more sustainable model since it is an important element in the composition of batteries for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
It allows for greater energy storage capacity (95-99%), expanding access to storage and reducing CO2 emissions, and it is key to the development of electromobility.
